MFHT – Paul Tuffs

I am a fully qualified Sports Therapist and Sports Massage Therapist and Full Member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (MFHT). I studied at the Barnes School of Sports Therapy in Bathford, near Bath and hold both a Level 3 Diploma in both Sports Therapy and Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage and I am Oncology Massage qualified. I have now been working in this field for over 9 years.

I love helping people; recover from injury (sporting or otherwise) and it turn improve their lives.

I consider it a pleasure being part of their recovery.

I see injured people come in, directly apply my knowledge of treatment and rehabilitation and this helps gets my patients back to doing the sports they love. In several cases at national level.

Many people are now seeing the power and benefits of sports massage and sports therapy alongside stretching exercises (like yoga) and how when combined they aid skeletal and postural correction. By giving my patients a tailored holistic therapy combination, their recovery needs are met which then enables a safe return to sports activities and everyday life, injury free.

After over 30 years in the world of corporate IT, I have had great fun going back to school and learning just how complex the human body is.

When the body is not working at its full potential, I enjoy discovering how clients compensate, sometimes incorrectly, and how massage and other complementary therapies can aid a patient’s speedy recovery. Thus enabling patient’s to do the sports they love once more.

Sports massage works deep in the muscles, realigning the muscle fibres and connective tissue, & helps flush away toxins that may occur when you’re injured.

I grew up in Hampshire and lives with his wife near Corsham, Wiltshire. We are both keen Iyengar Yoga practitioners. In my spare time I enjoy archery and shoots a Longbow. I am a pro-active member of Bath Archers, and was Somerset 2018 County Longbow Champion, came 3rd in 2019 and am currently ranked 37th in the U.K. Gents National Longbow Rankings.
